Website Status Checker Lite gives you a clear place to review two public websites from your WordPress dashboard or phone.
Included in Lite
- Up to two monitored websites.
- Automatic checks once a day, using WordPress scheduled tasks.
- Manual checks whenever you need them, with live progress and results appearing one website at a time.
- HTTP status, request duration and last-check time for each website.
- Email notifications for confirmed incidents and recovery, to one recipient.
- Consecutive-failure confirmation and duplicate suppression after successful notification delivery.
- Seven days of recorded check history and recent incident details.
- Guided website editing, search and pause/resume controls.
- A responsive dashboard and an administrator-only mobile home-screen shortcut.
- English and Hebrew interface options, including RTL layout.
- Email setup guidance with links, a refreshed monitor logo, and reduced-motion support.
The monitoring engine distinguishes successful HTTP responses from server errors, blocked requests and connection failures. A 404 or 500 response is not shown as a healthy website. HTTP request duration is separate from full browser page-load performance.
Pro for more frequent monitoring and client work
The separately installed Pro edition supports up to 100 websites, preset intervals and a custom whole-minute interval from 1 minute to 7 days. Pro adds client groups, required/forbidden HTML text checks, slow-response thresholds, SSL expiry warnings, maintenance windows, 90-day sample history, response-time graphs, CSV export and branded print / Save as PDF reports.
Optional Pro integrations include multiple email recipients, Telegram, Google PageSpeed, UptimeRobot and permission-based Web Push alerts on supported devices. Each integration has setup steps and official links. Device Push is a Pro feature; the mobile home-screen shortcut is included in Lite.

Scheduling and alert delivery
Daily scheduling is a target rather than a continuous uptime guarantee. WordPress cron depends on visits and hosting configuration; use a hosting cron trigger for more predictable scheduling. Checks run in bounded batches. If the WordPress server hosting this plugin is unavailable, its own checks and alerts cannot run. Use an external monitor for that host.
Alert delivery starts disabled on a fresh installation or the initial upgrade from legacy versions. Set your recipient and review the delivery settings before enabling it. Subsequent updates preserve your delivery preference. Manual website checks update results without sending alerts. Email delivery uses your existing WordPress mail configuration and depends on your mail provider.
Privacy and external services
Checks send HTTP requests to the public URLs you configure. URLs, results, check timing, incident details and notification preferences are stored in your WordPress database. Emails include the monitor name, URL and incident details and are delivered through your existing WordPress mail service. The plugin does not send usage analytics to Inline Studio.
Lite does not require Telegram, Google PageSpeed, UptimeRobot or a browser Push subscription. Those optional integrations belong to Pro and require explicit setup. Links in the help guides open the relevant provider’s website only when clicked. Configure your chosen email provider under its own terms and privacy policy.

Cài đặt
- Upload the plugin ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, then activate it.
- Open Website Monitor and add up to two full public HTTP/HTTPS website URLs.
- Open Settings & alerts. Review Automatic checks, the Once a day interval and the failed-check confirmation count.
- Enter your email recipient, enable alert delivery when ready, and save.
- Open the email setup guide if your WordPress installation needs a hosting mail service or SMTP configuration.
- To use your phone, open Tools & integrations > Open mobile dashboard, sign in as an administrator, and use your browser Add to Home Screen menu.
Pro takes precedence when installed and activated. Monitor data is shared between the editions. Existing legacy URLs and timing history are imported without deleting the original options. If you return to Lite with more than two saved websites, the additional websites are retained and marked above the Lite limit; only the first two are checked. They become available again in Pro.
Hỏi đáp
-
How often does Lite check websites?
-
Lite checks once a day. You can also run a manual check. Actual scheduling depends on WordPress cron, site traffic and hosting. Pro offers preset and custom intervals for more frequent checks.
-
When will an incident email arrive?
-
The default requires two consecutive failed checks before confirming an incident. With daily checks, confirmation may need two daily runs, and cron delays can add more time. Choose the confirmation count in Settings & alerts. One confirmed incident is notified after successful delivery; recovery produces one follow-up. Manual checks do not send notifications.
-
What does Check blocked mean?
-
A 401, 403 or 429 response can indicate authentication, a firewall or rate limiting. It is shown separately from an unavailable server. A successful check does not guarantee that every page or interactive feature works.
-
Why did I not receive an email?
-
Check your recipient, alert delivery setting, confirmation threshold and spam folder. The plugin uses WordPress mail; configure your hosting mail service or an SMTP plugin if needed. Use that service’s test tool to verify delivery. A manually requested website check does not send an incident email.
-
Can I install it on my phone?
-
Yes. Open the mobile dashboard and choose Add to Home Screen. On iPhone use Safari > Share > Add to Home Screen. The dashboard needs network access and a WordPress administrator session. Private administration data is not cached offline.
-
Does Lite send phone Push alerts?
-
Lite sends email alerts. Pro includes Web Push on supported browsers with explicit permission. iPhone Push requires iOS 16.4 or newer and home-screen installation. Pro Push requires HTTPS, PHP 8.2 or newer and OpenSSL on the server. No external Push account or API key is required.
-
Are old Pro monitors deleted when I switch to Lite?
-
No. Saved websites beyond the two-monitor limit remain stored and visible, but Lite does not check them. Hidden Pro interval and notification preferences are retained when saving Lite settings.
-
Can I check private network URLs?
-
Only public HTTP/HTTPS URLs are supported. Private network and unsupported-scheme addresses are blocked.
-
Does history represent continuous uptime?
-
No. History shows observed checks and incidents, with seven days of samples in Lite. It does not measure availability between checks or while the monitoring host is unavailable.
