I ran the full import and imported 600 magazines, all with the affiliate code working perfectly. A few days later and it has already made sales! – Simply Brilliant!! I found this works extremely well if you install the Yoast SEO plugin as well and enable sitemaps. Then submit your sitemaps to google after each major import.
